Why choose Red Cell Photography?

Good question, when you are picking your wedding photographer, to say it’s an important decision is somewhat of an understatement, you have to be 100% sure you are getting someone you are happy with and feel comfortable with on such an important day. Putting the bride and groom and all involved at total ease is so important. I never boss, push or prod anybody in any direction they don’t want to go in; it’s your day and you are my client. I mix a documentary approach with creative flair, and a passion for photography with a drive to produce work of an exceptional standard at every wedding session.

Will you travel?

Yes, I travel anywhere and no there are no charges as long as there are no sea crossings 🙂

When should I book a wedding photographer?

18 months in advance will secure most dates but you could get lucky anytime after that with cancellations, so please email or call to check. As always, Fridays and Saturdays are the most popular.

What is a typical day for a wedding photographer?

Typically, the wedding day has a certain procedure but of course can vary, and you can change any of it if it doesn’t suit your needs or if you are not comfortable with any of it. A typical wedding day starts with the photographer arriving at the bride’s house to do the bridal preps. These involve shots of the rings, flowers, dress, shoes and all the other little bits and bobs that make the day special. I’ll take some shots of the bride getting make up or hair done and afterwards when the dress is fitted, i’ll come back in for added shots of mother or maid of honour adding a final touch to the dress. I’ll go ahead to the church and get shots of the groom with his best men waiting for the bride.

A quick summary of the rest of the day would include:

  • Eric & Namiko - redcellphotography.comShots of entire church service/civil service.
  • Wedding party on the altar.
  • Bride and groom leaving.
  • Shots outside.
  • Group shot (optional)
  • Bride and groom arriving at reception.
  • Fly on the wall shots of wedding guests laughing and joking with one another.
  • Posed shots with family and close friends etc – I usually start with both families and work my way down till i’m just left with the bride and groom.
  • Personal shots with bride and groom.
  • Shots stop for dinner.
  • Shots for speeches (optional)
  • First dance.

How and when will I receive my photos?Paddy & Dave - redcellphotography.com

Your photos will be ready within one month, they will come in a smart folio presentation box with all your photos edited and ready to print in high def. They will also be uploaded to an online gallery with a unique password, they will be stored there for free for one year. There is an option for you or others to buy the pics from there if you so choose although you are under no obligation to do so. You can buy them already framed, I find it’s a handy option if friends and relatives especially those abroad want a memento.

If you want an album you can just favourite the pics in the gallery and I can then have your album made, album prices start at 250 euro and go up to 700 euro approx depending on page number and size. This can all be sorted out after you receive your digital copies, no time limit, no stress.

Are you insured?

Yes, I’m fully insured – I’ve got both professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance.
